At the helm is Jaffar Al Asfoor, an innovative retail strategist with over two decades of expertise in leading and growing retail businesses across Bahrain and Saudi Arabia.

Jaffar began his retail journey in 1996 at Alosra, Bahrain’s premium supermarket chain, a subsidiary of BMMI. Through strategic leadership and a commitment to excellence, he rose to lead the supermarket group and its food production business, overseeing nine stores and managing over 500 professionals. Under his leadership, Alosra became a benchmark for quality, customer service, and innovation, balancing global best practices with a strong local identity. This passion for retail transformation led him to establish Grocorp, a consultancy and trading business dedicated to equipping businesses with the tools, strategies, and insights needed to thrive in a competitive market.

Commercial Director
Supporting Grocorp’s mission is Saif Naseem, a seasoned retail leader who brings over 20 years of commercial expertise across the GCC. Saif began his career in 2004 in Riyadh, where he was part of the pioneering team that launched Géant, Saudi Arabia’s first hypermarket. Over six years, he rose to lead the imports and private label division, overseeing product sourcing and category development across ten stores.
In 2010, Saif moved to Bahrain to join Alosra, where he headed the commercial department and played a key role in the brand’s expansion from one store to nine. He was instrumental in curating an international product range, from the USA to Europe to Australia, positioning Alosra as the destination for premium, niche FMCG products.
Saif’s deep understanding of the region’s FMCG retail and distribution dynamics, coupled with his experience across Bahrain and Saudi Arabia, makes him a vital part of Grocorp’s leadership team.
